Irish Soda Bread Scones


2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. creamy yogurt
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 c. butter, cut up and frozen
1 c. raisins
1 egg for egg wash

Combine dry ingredients.
Combine yogurt and syrup (if using greek yogurt, add a bit of milk).
Incorporate butter into flour mixture until coarse crumbs form.
Add wet ingredients, knead until just combined.
Form dough into a round loaf.
Cut into triangles and arrange on a cookie sheet separated.
Scramble egg and coat each scone with egg wash.


Bake on 375 for about 15 min.
